Awesome Suya Spot

Point your camera at the merchant's printed code.

  1. 1
    The customer scans your code

One printed QR, reused for every payment. It works with ThynkPay or any banking app that supports NIBSS transfers.

  2. 2
    They type the amount

The code doesn't carry a price, so the same poster works whether the payment is ₦200 or ₦200,000.

  3. 3
    They confirm with their PIN

Every payment is authorised on the customer's own device. Nothing to hand over, nothing to tap.

  4. 4
    Money lands in your wallet

Under five seconds, into a real Providus Bank account. Withdraw to any Nigerian bank whenever you want.

Try a different amount. The fee is a flat naira figure per tier — free under ₦500, and capped at ₦20 no matter how large the payment gets.

Your side of it

You just display a code.

Everything in the demo happens on the customer's phone. The merchant's entire job is showing a piece of paper.

  • You get one printed code

Delivered by a field agent, free. Stick it on the stall, by the till, or on the wall.

  • You never touch the transaction

No amount to key in, no device to hand over, no card to swipe. The customer does all of it on their own phone.

  • You get an instant alert

The money is in your wallet — a real Providus Bank account — before the customer has put their phone away.

  • You withdraw whenever

To any Nigerian bank account, usually in under 60 seconds. No waiting for a settlement cycle.

Still wondering?

How it works, in detail

How does ThynkPay actually work?

Merchants get a QR code. Customers scan it (with ThynkPay or any banking app that supports NIBSS transfers) and type the amount. The money lands in the merchant's ThynkPay wallet — a real bank account at Providus Bank — which can be withdrawn to any Nigerian bank at any time.

Is my money safe?

Yes. Your money sits at Providus Bank, a CBN-licensed Nigerian commercial bank. ThynkPay is the app on top — like how WhatsApp uses your phone's data plan. Even if ThynkPay stopped existing, your money would still be at Providus and you could withdraw it directly through them.

How fast does the money arrive?

Wallet-to-wallet payments (customer → merchant) settle in under 5 seconds. Bank withdrawals (your ThynkPay wallet → your Nigerian bank account) settle within minutes — usually under 60 seconds.

Do I need a POS machine?

No. Just a phone that can display a printed QR code (or photos of it for your customers). No special hardware required.

What if my customer doesn't have a smartphone?

Any Android phone running Android 6 (Marshmallow) or newer, or any iPhone 6S or newer, can install the ThynkPay app. The app is small and works on any data plan. If you're not sure, our field agent can help your customers check when they visit.
